2012 370z Navigation Update

Hi all,

Was just wondering if anyone here had recently updated to latest 370z software/maps.

I spoke to Nissan Moorooka in Qld last week and they quoted $249.00.

Does anyone know what it updates? To latest Bluetooth? better menus, etc? Or is it just map info?

Was also told it's done by computer hookup to vehicle.

Any help/info would be much appreciated.

Rob

I emailed a couple Nissan service centres around my area and none of them got back to me with any info regarding pricing or how and when. So I gave up.

Let us know if you end up getting it sorted. Ill hit up a couple other Nissan’s in the meantime.

It would be maps only, the actual software wouldn't change unless you replaced the unit (as far as I know).

The earlier models used a DVD that needed to be swapped, yours would be the hard drive based system, so they would just overwrite whatever is on there.

If you wanted a true upgrade, there was a thread on the370z somewhere about somebody who replaced their factory navigation with the non-navigation face panels (found in U.S etc models), and swapped the controller and plugs for the A/C. When you do that, you can install a normal head unit. That being said, it's a lot of effort and money getting the parts otherwise I would have liked to do this.

Hi Rodd, Im in Newcastle and congrats on the purchase. I havent met many other Zed owners on this forum from Newie. You are in the right place if you want to learn more about the Zed as i have found being pretty much a novice. Cheers Harry Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Hi Elvis, I know your post was from last year but did you ever settle on a CBE? I just bought a roadster and looking at doing something very similar shortly.

Just bought a 2012 370Z red roadster, via a long road trip from the Whitsundays.  Just love the car the more I drive it. I have always loved Zeds, ever since I was a kid playing soccer and my coach bought a 260Z and took me for drive to game one Sat morning.  I also owned 260Z for about 12 years which I thoroughly restored.  No mods or anything else done etc my new plates. Keen on a new exhaust at some stage. I  Joined the Z club to learn more about the car, share stories etc and hopefully do the odd weekend drive with fellow members. Are there many Newcastle Zed owners out there….. Cheers, Rodd

Thanks Bry I can't take credit though, previous owner put them on, one of the main reasons I bought this particular example!
