Engine Ticking Noise

Hi guys,

I bought a 2003 350z for dirt cheap for a track car project. Came with a stuffed clutch/ running on 5 cylinders, etc etc etc, and having slowly been bringing it back to life.

One of the last major items to fix is what I understand to be the lifters on the drivers side bank, an annoying/ loud ticking noise which follows the RPM.

Ive replaced the fuel dampers FYI, and used a stethoscope and pretty sure its from the drivers cam cover.

Question is, would this just be a matter of adjusting the lash with a different size bucket as per the owners manual, or does it a stuck lifter?

Any workshops in Melbourne that are familiar with the VQ engine that people can recommend?

I recommend Revzone in Ringwood.
