Why are kits always twin turbo?

Because the engine is a V and has a large-ish capacity

Two smaller turbos (rather than 1 large turbo), 1 off each bank, will respond and spin up quickly

The exhaust plumbing for a single turbo on a V engine is not pretty (the turbo has be feed from both banks)

I see. I was always a bit thrown on this, because of the VG30DETT in the Z32. It was a twin turbocharged 3.0L in the same era as single turbo 3 liters. I guess it makes sense for responsiveness on a v configuration.

The expense is devastating for the Z34 though, even 7 years after the cars release. Whereas you've got more options for the Z33.

That era of single turbo 3 liters lead to the twin scroll/turbo era (Supra/Skyline/etc) which was designed to address the short comings of large single turbos

It's excessively expensive to go custom FI on any car

The Z33 does have numerous options but due to low sales in that era (and generally the state of after market kits market) very few companies are creating kits for the Z34

This sounds awesome considering AAM use Borg Warners EFR turbo which has Gamma Titanium goodness, Revzone kit use disco potatoes I believe.

Revzone would be a good candidate to install/tune this thing as they have done a few boosted 370s - I hope they ditch gtm/gamma and pick up the AAM kit  - that would be mega

All good, hit the steering lock with a small hammer, took two goes, then pushed starter button, was able to get it into ACC mode, pulled the steering lock fuse, started car and got the hell out of the Nissan workshop! The look on their faces was priceless.
