Keyless fob programming

So I have a 2005 350z touring coupe. Want to programme my keyless fob to my car.

NISSAN WANTS $120 to programme this and people have done it using the instructions.

I have read the instructions here:

Method  1

How to program your remotes

-unlock doors and get into car
-using the buttons located on the door panle - lock and unlock the doors
-put key in ignition and turn to accessory
-turn key back to OFF and remove key from ignition
-quickly insert and remove key in ignition about 6 times(the hazards will flah when you have done it enough times.
-turn key to accessory and hit the LOCK button on the remote
-if programming mulitple remotes have both remotes with you and follow the next step
-unlock the door using the button on the door panel and then hit the lock button on the second remote

YOUR DOORS WILL LOCK WHEN YOU HIT THE BUTTON ON THE REMOTE

Method  2

-unlock doors and get into car

-using the buttons located on the door panle - LOCK DOORS
-quickly insert and remove key in ignition about 6 times(the hazards will flah when you have done it enough times.
-turn key to accessory and hit the LOCK button on the remote
-if programming mulitple remotes have both remotes with you and follow the next step
-unlock the door using the button on the door panel and then hit the lock button on the second remote

YOUR DOORS WILL LOCK WHEN YOU HIT THE BUTTON ON THE REMOTE

From the above two steps I have done both - when I lock the car using door panel power door lock - it only locks the passenger side. Is this normal?

I have done these methods so many times and can not get the hazard lights to blink to put it in program mode.

What am I doing wrong?

I even tried locking the door with the manual locks on the drive seat - and that locks both doors, however still nothing. On the 6th go the doors unlock but no hazard lights blink.

Anyone have any advice on this?

And who gave you these instructions? - Are you sure they're not having a "lend of you"? Sounds a bit archaic to me....

Do you actually know someone who's had success...

IF you google programming keyless fobs for 350z tonnes of forums and videos showing the exact same method pops up. People on forums said they have successfully done it whilst other has had the same problem as me.
