Thinking seriously about a new exhaust on my 350 z roadster on ebay by auturbo. Wonder if anyone has installed one and whether or not the exhaust droan has been too much in the soft top? Do a lot of country travelling. Any advice would be appreciated.

I bought that exhaust for my 03 350z coupe last year when they had prices it at quite a bit more :(

It sounds awesome, there isnt too much of a drone on the freeway unless you push it but i dunno if that would be different for soft tops.

Just a heads up, i don't think this happens to all the ones they sell but the one i got when the idle gets to lower revs the exhaust noise kind of starts to flutter? There's a better word for it but i cant think of it right now but yeah

I love mine, if your fitting it yourself be ready for a bit of fiddling to get the alignment right.

Again the alignment in the pipes might be out, mine did that at first but I just played with it till it stopped, otherwise you just put up with it.

Thanks guys think I will go ahead I think the exhaust needs a little more sound to it. Too quite for my liking.

Have you considered the Borla exhaust system?

Wow sorry but $2244 is a little out of my price range I think my other half would have something to say about that much spent on my toy while she is saving up to go on a cruise. Though it does look like a great system. On the weekend a friend told me that he had seen on YouTube that some guys had just cut out the resonator to get more sound. Just looking into pros and cons on that.

Consider a Fujitsubo Legalis R TypeS [760-15476]? Garage88 stock em. I'm pretty keen on getting one but it's the last thing on my list of modifications.

Yeah, it's about a two-hour DIY install with the aid of a mate.

Night and day between the two and in a good way. Where the stock sounds like a asthmatic broken lawn mower the Invidia has a nice rumble to it low down and opens up to a pleasant scream above 3500 - 4000 rpm. Titanium tips sit a little proud and are a bit gaudy but suit the style of the car so i dont mind. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

That's right, keen to do something like that. Still not sure about the HFC's though-some thread comments below:   Having had a Stillen CBE on its own and a Stillen + HFCs, I’d say a Stillen with stock cats would be a good option for a roadster” -To be honest though the stillen doesn’t need the hfc, especially with the roadster -If you dont want constant loud humming or a loud exhaust in general, then stay away from the hfcs. There is a thread where some guys returned them to stock and couldnt be happier. They said the hfc just made the cabin that much more noisy and annoying.   Did you put the Invidia on after you bought your car? Happy with the improvement compared to stock? Cheers,

Yeah I remember seeing it for sale on autotrader and thinking it looked like it's been well cared for.

Sounds good. I also saw that you were enquiring about an CBE and HFC set up. Would like to hear that once its installed if possible as i currently have an Invidia CBE and am considering the HFCs. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
