wheel advice - square or no for track&daily

hi guys, currently running 18x9+20 front and 18x10+15 rear wedsport sa67Rs on my 350GT.

considering changing to either enkei rpf1 18x10.5+15 all round or ame tm02 tracer 18x10+15 all round.

reasoning is

a) slightly wider front track to reduce understeer

B) slightly wider tyres can be fitted on front and i'm planning to go 'wtac clubsprint-class' with the setup ie street tyres not the z221s currently on the car, so extra width is beneficial..

c) should look pretty nice ;)

ive seen many japanese 350Z tuners go square or near square with their setup and also pretty aggressive offset. but don't want to be rubbing either. current setup works well on track, dont wanna ruin it.

advice?

Square. 285-wide on a 10-inch is perfect but the Clubsprint rules say you can run up to a 295, in which case you will want to go the 10.5...assuming you will fit a 10.5 +15 under a V35 guard, you would definitely struggle on a Z33. Personally I would go the Tracers because they are sexier than RPF1's, but for the track the RPF1 is a superlight wheel, even lighter than the TE37SL.

So understeer is the problem, what camber, castor & toe settings are you using?

As I said in my other post, I had unlimited turn in with a 18x9 wheel and 235mm semi slick tyre

Bigger tyres will increase cost and unsprung weight

The G35 and Z don't have enough power and down force to get the best out of big rubber

All good, hit the steering lock with a small hammer, took two goes, then pushed starter button, was able to get it into ACC mode, pulled the steering lock fuse, started car and got the hell out of the Nissan workshop! The look on their faces was priceless.
