    What's your normal voltage reading?
In colder days, it goes up to 14.4-14.8V. Usually sits around 14.2 but shortly once the engine warms up, it drops to 13-13.2V. I currently have a dashcam with a power pack installed (even with engine off it works). Are these normal readings?

The battery is only a year old with a higher CCA than stock.

I would think that in terms of power upgrades in the future, there's no denying that a TT kit is the way to go. The only thing holding you back would be the stock block, hence why I reckon most would go for a supercharger. Less stress and heat on the block. Plus both options would get you into the 500hp mark easily.

If it's twinscrew, it'll sit on top of the engine wouldn't it? So I'm guessing the stock hood and the engine sway bars? won't fit no more?

Apologies for reviving an old thread. To those who actually have the Stollen SC installed, did any of you stumble across issues with installation and post installation? In the US, there were a few who suffered from erratic idling, stalling at idle, hard start ups on cold and hot days, and the ever prevalent crappy canned tune. Is that an issue in Australia too?

I'd see an alignment specialist. If you're in Sydney these guys are good: http://heasmans.com.au

Agreed. This one is a sub-contractor who clearly had no clue. I live in rural North QLD. Thanks for the responses MartinZ!

Called the technical rep at Castrol as well as talked to a local tuner familiar with 370Z engines. Both reckoned 10W 60 is way too thick to run even with the monthly track days. Suffice to say, I won't be returning to that Nissan service centre and will get the oil swapped out to a quality 5W 40 as advised by both of them.

Living in North Queensland. Was using Nissan ester oil but recently starting to track the car and noticed the oil temp was hitting 130 degrees. Was advised by Nissan to swap to Castro Edge Titanium Synthetic 10W 60. Same conditions on the day (events were a week apart, on the same track with the same amount of flogging) and temp didn't pass 110. Engine does sound slightly more noisy on start up but runs just as smooth.
I'm no expert on the matter but having a cooler oil temp makes me feel safer. Will invest in oil coolers in future and revert back to Nissan ester oil as recommended.
  9. ghostbusters added a post in a topic Z1 Hood struts

Just received an email from Rod from Z1. According to him, the hood struts won't fit without further modifications and thus negates the pedestrian safety hood pop up feature. Go figure :S.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I was thinking of installing the hood struts on my Zed.

@raidas: Does your car retain the pedestrian hood pop safety feature? Looking at your install in the link above, why did you remove the plastic covers for the battery/brake fluid? And what sort of bending were you talking about?
