I was waiting for the 86 but ended up buying a Z34.
Previously I had a MX-5, a car renowned for its super-handling. So I thought a powerful sports tourer like the Z would be a good change.

Drag, circuit, drift, city-driving, Old-Pac runs or show....its all good. IMO, there are different ways to enjoy sports cars - no right or wrong with choices....

Try 3M 1080 for the wrap.

3M Di-Noc is a great product but was not intended as a vehicle wrap. It was designed/intended as an architectural material (along with many other effects, like wood grain, marble, sandstone etc) for interior surfaces. Over the years, folks have used it on cars to various results. This material is thick and does not conform to complex shapes as much as 3M 1080 can. It is a great material for home, office, furniture, cabinets, etc. If stretched excessively on auto parts, it could shrink back and result in lifting or peeling.

I am in the process of choosing a car to buy. Choices include Z34, Boxster/Cayman S, Z4M, Exige, M3 or Toyota 86.

The Z34 ranks high on the list as I frequent Wakefield Park and the Nissan is reliable & relatively cheap to repair from track duties. It all depends on the price of the 86....

If I end up owning a Z, will surely sponsor this forum (from an enthusiast and trader standpoint).

Just wish to share this with everyone....

Matte black vinyl wrapped Z34 in Sydney.

Ohhh.... a black one! Perfect for my intent to wrap it in satin black vinyl. HR, too!

It looks like it might take a while to sell my current car so a newer 350 or a 370 might not be viable for me.... I can only afford $25000 or so if I keep my current car.

Will look at your car if I sell mine though....so....wish me luck!

I am in the market for a 350z or 370z (350z if I can't sell my existing car). Have been looking on Carsales for a while now....

But I suppose we only see those "overprized" 350's on Carsales as the owners cannot sell them at those prices. If they sold, we wouldn't see them.

I had a S15 once. Great car....robust and has almost unlimited potential. Real cop magnet though...even at legal speeds.

S15 is the last of the Silvia bloodline. There IS a S16. But it is not made by Nissan (not much of a drift car either).

    Thanks mate!

I really love the Z33 & Z34 series. I previously had some turbo Nissans (S14, S14a, S15) and moved onto MX-5s (all three generations) for their crazy full throttle & full speed cornering. Really want to get back into something more powerful (and still corner on full throttle).

    Speaking of power....

I applied satin black vinyl wrap to the front valance/fangs, rear diffuser and roof of the 370z. Hope everyone likes it.

•Outline the edges first (where the colour joins the black, unpainted plastic). Do this with a 5mm strip of vinyl. Reason: it is difficult to manipulate a large sheet all the way up to the edges.

•Then work from the center and outwards towards the left and right fang. Then towards the vertical "wall" of the whole airdam opening.

•The unseen section (underneath the bumper) was done as a separate piece. So even if it scrapes on speedhumps it can be replaced, without re-doing the fangs and base.

Hope this helps. It can be done. Just need patience and perseverance.

Whilst shopping for a Z and researching on 350z appearance enhancements I saw this:

A full CF wrap on this 350 roadster redefines the word awesome!
It was modified in Melbourne by Grafico.
