It most evident when you change to aftermarket catalytic converters as they usually have no heat shield like the oem.

Check to see if your rear differential bushing is busted. Dead giveaway is if your differential cover is covered in black fluid from a burst bushing.
  3. jaze55 added a post in a topic Rear Differential Bushing failed~

Refer to the thread I created not long ago http://zclub.com.au/forums/index.php?/topic/6489-differential-bushing-leaking/

Installation and alignment was $400 and part was $120. Took half a day to get done.
  4. jaze55 added a post in a topic Any affordable "practical car" with good performance?

I would opt for the recently released Audi S3. It is based on the same platform as the new golfs but you get a really luxurious interior and performance. The Golf R is everywhere, so it would be nice to have something different.

That comment "pulls like school boy" made my morning lol. I always wanted to do headers but it it a very big job on our cars.

That price is for a full set F & R.

I noticed the same thing when i got my Hi-Tech CBE, it was even more evident when I added HFC. High end power is definitely improved at the expense low end power, makes for a more impractical car lol.

A tune would probably address this issue.

I just checked conceptzperformance in the USA, a set of HC+ for the Z34 is only $254 USD + postage. I understand supporting local companies but the price difference is just ridiculous.

Awesome find. Will buy a set of HC+, my oem brakes are coming up to 3.5 years now.
  10. jaze55 added a post in a topic 370Z Dyno Results

Always shocks me when I see the dyno graph for our cars. It just never feels as quick as 200kws, delivery is so linear which masks the sensation of speed.
  11. jaze55 added a post in a topic Strange Idle Issue.

With the throttle body clean, double check that your mechanic actually removed the throttle body and cleaned both intake and plenum sides. When I took my thottle bodies off, the intake side was clean, however, the plenum side was full of carbon build up.
  12. jaze55 added a post in a topic Camber issue or else?

Under acceleration the car dips down and it gains toe out.
  13. jaze55 added a post in a topic Strange Idle Issue.

I had the rpm dipping issue on my 370Z, it would also cause the car to stall on start up. I tried many fixes, however, cleaning the throttle bodies fixed the problem for me. They were filthy after only 60,000kms.
  14. jaze55 added a post in a topic Where is the ESCL located?

Just make sure you pull the fuse out now that it is fixed. The revision D also fails unfortunately
  15. jaze55 added a post in a topic Where is the ESCL located?

Electronic Steering Column Lock (ESCL). Pop your head under the steering column and its the silver box, check what revision you have. I had my revision c replaced with a revision D.

I have a 40th anniversary and I had mine replaced under warranty, however, it was due to another issue where my car would start then turn off. I was lucky the ESCL was replaced via a process of elimination in trouble shooting the problem.

Nissan returned the car back to me as they couldn't identify what was causing the problem. I did a quick search on the370 forum and found that it could be due to dirty throttle bodies. I cleaned the throttle bodies and the car now starts like a beast with no hesitation.
